There's a sandwich joint in the Bay Area called Ike's that names its stuff after sports heroes

the Madison Bumgarner has a (light amount of) Habanero, American, Ike’s Yellow BBQ, Pepper Jack, thinly sliced rib eye, for instance.

What are they supposed to do now? Branch out into Indian food (Stephen Curry)?

Veeck, well-known for his entreprenurial stunts, was the Browns owner who hired Gaedel to play, and then later was the owner of the White Sox.

He's also the guy who integrated the American League by hiring Larry Doby when he owned the Indians. Veeck was kind of a cool guy. His autobiography, Veeck as in Wreck is a good book as these things go.
