With the horrendous news and malevolent politics in this country, my garden (and my wife and pets and kids, at least from a distance) keep me sane!

(205,723 posts)Is that basil? I've always wanted to grow basil, managed some in a pot once, keep intending to try it again. I have made my own pesto sauce, but it's tough to find enough at the store around here...

(50,130 posts)If so, what are you using to fertilize them? Mine are in pots. Looking good so far, but I'm sure they will need food. Let's see if I can name the eight varieties I have out there.

Ack -- can't do it from memory this morning. One is an orange, can't remember the last.

I have to wait LONGER for the rewards of taking those pictures, as most of these are from seeds.
