Yesterday as I was stopped for a stop sign a lady on the sidewalk cried out "help me"

She had been sent to an institution to help resolve her emotional problems. Apparently, she at one point was aggressive in answering the institution's questions. They told her to leave and she was worried about being stranded in Tacoma WA overnight. Unknown to me she did have some money that was designated for her children, but could have used it to return to her orginal institution, but was not revealing that to me. The institution called the police to resolve the problem. I let her use my cell to contact her counselor from where she came. When the police came to talk to her they were patient and dealing with a tough situation. I had been told by the police and the institution that I was in a dangerous situation with her. I did not feel the danger although I understood intellectually that she could be dangerous. As it turned out she just used my cell to contact her counselor and presented no threat. When the police came they seemed to try to help her and she expressed she felt afraid and wanted me to stay. As I spoke to her and the police I could see no danger from the policemen there. But the leader in the two policemen said to me "I see a roach on your car"...looking at the tire of my car. This upset me a bit as I do not do drink, do drugs or anything of that nature. I belong to a Christian camp and my neighbors know me well and could confirm my nature. The officer said he was just kidding. It made me wonder,,,I know he might think because I had stopped to see what the problem was for her and if I could help doesn't mean automatically I too have drug or alcohol problems.
I didn't think fast enough I should have told him to show me the same respect I showed him and could back up my statement of not abusing drugs or even being involved with them in any manner or form. I suspect the older office was just testing me...but that can make a person wondering about the claims of police abusing people.
