My 2 year old one died on me.
I bought this one, for about $250.

I like it, it works much better than my old one did, and it has a CD-ROM drive my old one didn't have.

Which o/s are you running?

(46,335 posts)I'm also signed up for that Windows 10 upgrade at the end of the month.
But this is a decent laptop, and I get around the erratic touchpad by using a Bluetooth mouse.

(22,897 posts)I mean, it seems that the higher the number, the worse the performance. I have Windows 7 and I'm not very happy with it. I've heard people say Windows 8 isn't so great either. (Did they skip Windows 9?)
I'm glad it's working well for you. Keep us posted if that changes!

(46,335 posts)Doesn't do anything else.
A friend of my younger sister who is a computer whiz is going to take a look at it, see if it can be fixed.
Afterwards I don't know, probably sell the old one.

(41,694 posts)A clean reinstall should fix it if it's glitched. A new drive and install should fix it if it's the drive.
