even though it was faster in 4th than 5th.

It was a lot of fun to drive, and even though it was a Fiat, it tended to break down less than Triumphs and MGs of the day. Also much cheaper than Porsches or Jaguars.

I had its baby sister, the 850 Spider, and that was even more fun-- although I blew the engine burying the speedo.

His girlfriend (also a 2LT) drove one, too. Nice, but I always preferred the Triumph Spitfire myself.
