1. I think Star Wars, J.J Abrams, and Disney are a good match.

Better than the later George Lucas, who seemed to surround himself with sycophants who could never say "NO!, WTF George???," judging by Ewoks, Jar Jar, the Christmas special, and sand in some very unsympathetic characters' private parts.

The Jedi Women in my family would have killed whiny adult Anakin and thrown his cold dead dirty midi-chlorian infected corpse into a volcano or nuclear incinerator long before he appeared on Palpatine's radar.

Yet worrisomely, J.J. Abrams, Viacom, and Star Trek was a match made in hell. They pissed on everything Star Trek making their "action" films.

Still, I'm hopeful this new Star Wars will work.

2. I originally hated Anakin in the prequels

but, somebody later pointed out to me that if you go back to the original Star Wars (A New Hope), Luke was pretty much a whiny brat until the end. Still didn't love the prequels, but the guy did have a point about that.

3. Anakin could have been a charismatic extremely romantic but deeply twisted character. But he wasn't.

I expected much much more of the future Darth Vader.

Bring a beach towel and she rides on top. No sand.

And in spite of Anakin's deep character flaws, the other Jedi love him... at first.

The reviews were horrible, I didn't go near them.
I am truly excited about The Force Awakens, it has a familiar feeling to it, from what I've seen.

6. Anakin was not that different than his son

Luke. By Return of the Jedi, Luke has become the wise Jedi master, evolving from the whiny brat in the first movie. My guess is that Lucas was going for how similar young Luke and young Anakin were, but Anakin was influenced by a Jedi Council on the downswing, and was manipulated by Palpatine, while Luke was raised without direct Jedi or Sith influence.

7. I think it's safe to say that JJ Abrams can't possibly fuck it up as much as Lucas did.

I'm really optimistic- he seems to understand the fans and what the fans want. Sometimes giving the fans what they want is a good thing.

Recognizing that Episodes I II and III disappointed a lot of fans, they're going old school. It made me so happy!!
