Has anyone ordered a user's manual online?

I got a camera as a gift a few months ago. It's a very nice camera and I thought I had the directions for it down pat. However, I'm 63 so I lost the manual and all I can do with the camera is take pictures. If I order it online, it'll cost me $12.50. Has anyone else run into this ridiculous situation before? (No old lady jokes).

... unless that's what you really want.

Most especially don't order the manual from a sketchy site that's simply reprinting the manufacturer's free internet pdf without the manufacturer's consent.

Almost certainly there is an online pdf version of the manual for free on the manufacturer's site, maybe even elsewhere if it's an older camera.

If you must have paper, save some money and print out only the parts of the pdf manual you need. I hope you don't really need the pages that tell you not to plug in the battery charger while you are taking a bath, which is not always the case the way I sometimes do things, and I have the scars to prove it.

and search for your camera model. Chances are they'll have a .pdf copy you can download for free.

These sites that sell you manuals are pretty sketchy and usually just send you a copy of the manual they downloaded for free.

I want to learn to use my son's camera and I found good videos on you tube. Good luck!

I went to Youtube, too. I got this young guy who gave instructions at a hundred miles an hour.

At least, I've never ever not found one for any of my products. The free digital copies are in the product support section, it sounds like the OP was looking under parts/accessories, which would be a mailed, printed version.

Have a conversation and see if they'll just stick one in the mail. I have good luck with customer service when they are slow, like 2pm. If you just bought it, then it's possible.
