I still feel like it's 8 PM (CDT) instead of 2 AM, but man, am I glad to be here!

Like Paul Simon sang, "New England, sweet New England."

No calls to be in Brussels, Barcelona, Paris or Zürich the next morning. I am far away, don't call me and I won't call you! I haven't had a vacation since the last time I was here. It's TIME, baby!

Been to our favorite beach (Long Nook), seen Hot Tuna live, eaten great food, been to the local book store to autograph copies of my novel, and made a date to my yearly stint on the local radio station. Daughters coming in tomorrow night, brother on Monday. This is the one time of year I get to chill out and do my own thing with my own people, and I will do just that!

We needed all the heat we could get! My wife (second from left) is from northern Germany, so she didn't mind, but my daughter (far left) and I were shivering. Suzie (in blue) is a friend who now lives in San Francisco, so she wasn't fazed by the cold and damp, either. We were there because a good friend of ours was getting a ship christened that was named after her father!
