Every 8 revolutions of the earth the pattern resets. Of course the true paths of the planets are ellipses, not circles, but that would make the pattern even more interesting.

The above glyph has been seen at Egyptian ruins, along with the Pentagram.
Egyptians & Babylonians had over 10,000 years (each) of astrological data, which is why they were able to predicts eclipses and transits long before the christians came along.
