I loved Jimi long before I had heard of SRV, but don't ask me to choose....

Mr. Vaughan was great but he tended to be great interpreting other people's work.

Like SRV's a little better. The band is more solid, so the song rocks a little harder. The guitar playing is quite different between the two but they're both really well played. So, i guess i like SRV's better because of the backing music, not because of the guitar playing.

Also, i liked Stevie's voice a little more. Not much, but a bit.

who used to play this tune with bands (usually our own hybrid of the two). For pure Listening pleasure I'd have to go with Hendrix's; its dirtier, rawer and sexier than SRV's. (IMO). But I love em both.
