(10,201 posts)I can't have a dog. But I grew up with them. I cannot express how much love and joy a dog brings to a home. But in my current situation, it would not be fair to one.
I long ever so much for the love that only a dog can bring.

(28,945 posts)If our circumstances were different, we'd have a dog (a Lab would be the first choice) in a second.

(34,447 posts)through. The fear and sadness in their eyes just melts away the moment they realize that they are being rescued. I don't know know how many of these videos I've seen, and they are all the same. More often than not, the pups fall asleep in the car, so relieved that they can finally relax after who know how long they've been alone, abandoned and terrified. It truly is a wonder to behold. How anybody can throw away a pet like this is beyond me. I would never betray an animal like that any more than I would a child.

(14,881 posts)bless him for crawling into that tiny, tiny space and getting her out of there.
Poor, poor baby.
I would adopt her in a heartbeat...

(28,394 posts)I hope she finds a wonderful home. I have been looking at the adoption sites for a Golden near us (since seeing her).

(4,019 posts)breed specific rescue group. They only wanted one dog but found these two who HAD to be rescued together because they were raised together. They were a little older than average, about seven years old, two boys.
I can't recall the specifics of how the two ended up being surrendered but maybe there is a similar rescue group in your area.

(28,394 posts)They all deserve to have loving homes. That was kind of your friends to take in two seniors.

(4,019 posts)I wonder if she was truly abandoned or if she ran away and got lost?
Either way, she's a lucky girl!
This is a good time to mention that a micro chip may return a lost dog to her owner. Micro chips are inexpensive and have resulted in many happy reunions.
