silly me, I recorded them.
Watched #1 and while I have seen worse (Robot Monster, They saved Hitler's Brain, Demon Island...) I have to admit that with maybe a hit of blotter acid this might seem plausible. Straight, it was maddening.
Should I find some method of self-medication before watching the other two?

(20,730 posts)I guess it's funny, but I'm not laughing. Maybe I'm too old.

(56,829 posts)the next two are bad, but are made tolerable by trying to spot all the celebrity cameos and deaths.

(34,137 posts)Mostly because it was so bad it was campy. ScyFy Channel saw a good thing and made two sequels to cash in on the notoriety, hiring various people to put in cameo appearances.
Being a fan of bad science fiction movies I watched the first one - I've seen much worse, like the average Troma movie ("Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" 1 and 2) - and the second one which was campier but not as fun. I tried to watch the third one but when Ann Coulter came on the screen I changed the channel and didn't go back.

But this is all about three movies - huh.
Rider sits confused....
So why do they have Sharknado "weeks" iirc? Do they just loop the same three movies over and over and over? I'm envisioning trying to have a Brady Bunch Week or a M*A*S*H week - at least there you have a decade or so of episodes to run.

(34,137 posts)Sharknado week seems to be an excuse for ScyFy Channel to run a bunch of their bad movies.
You see, a number of years ago ScyFy asked for viewers to send in suggestions for movie titles. Then they made up plots to fit the names. That's how they ended up with movies such as Megashark vs. Kolossus, Roboshark, Sharktopus v. Whale Wolf, Zombie Shark, 3 - Headed Shark Attack and Lavalantula.

I was stuck in a hotel over night waiting for a pre-purchase exam on a horse at Thistledown Racino and I got sucked into a "vampire night" on some channel. Fell in love with the Underworld series of movies right there and then.
Transmitted the "vampire lust" to my husband and daughters...

(34,137 posts)Which is hysterical since she really doesn't watch much TV. She turned on Megashark vs Kolossus when we were visiting our Mom but Mom got tired of it and changed the channel. When a 94 year old woman with severe dementia finds a movie stupid, you know it's got to be bad!
I've been avoiding the current vampire craze - if it isn't a Hammer vampire movie, it's no good for me, LOL!
