About Joe Cocker….

Two of the happiest two hours of my life were spent in Philadelphia's Academy of Music watching Joe Cocker and his trusty crew.
One of the happiest minutes of my life was when one of the band's mutts trotted up to the apron of the stage and lifted his leg on amplifier. (Sort of the RCA Victor logo reversed.) The Academy of Music is a splendid old red velvet opera house with wedding cake tiers of seats and splendid acoustics.
And I don't care that Joe sings the lyrics with (apparently) his mouth full of marbles.
