An apology to fans of William Shakespeare's Thought For The Day.

In a curious reversal of roles, it is I, and not the Sweet Swan of Avon, who must devote his time to the stage right now. I'm doing a play for local community theater, and it's taking up all my time, including time for researching material for WSTFTD. We are going in to our third weekend of performances, including two today, a matinee and an evening show. One more weekend after this, then I will be able resume passing along The Bard's current musings on today's political and pop cultural happenings.

Thank you for being fans. I love you all...

Jaques:

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.

As You Like It Act 2, scene 7, 139–143

It's about Philo T. Farnsworth and how he invented television. And how David Sarnoff, CEO of RCA, stole the patent for it.

Gripping show.

The last shows I did were reader's theater Beaumont & Fletcher (The Knight of the Burning Pestle) and iirc, Marston, can't remember the title but it was one of those super dark, Jacobean potboilers. Lots to work with.
