(14,691 posts)but in h.s. we all had to play. I was one of the ones the jocks passed back and forth each week saying, "I took her last time..." I didn't want to play in the first place.

(16,386 posts)Even if you didn't want to play it still feels like a rejection. We didn't have to play in HS, but in elementary school I was always one of the last chosen for mandatory teams at recess. Feel your pain.

(14,691 posts)the way they went about it back then ('60s) sucked. It was mandatory but really just geared towards the athletic kids. Luckily in elementary school they just let us jump rope or whatever in the schoolyard. So, I was better off than you - only 4 years of humiliation. Sheesh.

(14,120 posts)You all remember those test things we had to do in P.E? The one where you had to do chin ups? Would just stand there and look at the P.E teacher.. it was in 4th grade when she finally got the hint and not try to make me any more. It was rough on me and gave a migraine just watching me try one. Free throw shooting and Tetherball that was MY thing!
Edit due to getting frustrated with a DARN SMART PHONE!!!!
