i'm pretty lucky with my in-laws

his dad may be a conservative republican with bagger tendancies (i've never talked politics with his mom, but when we went to see bernie a few months ago she asked me who that was), but they are very generous with us. they send us gift cards or money in the lean times and they just bought a bunch of parts for the truck (everything seems to have gone bad at once). they even sprung for my plane ticket to visit with my husband over the winter and footed the bill for just about everything. my mil sews and i commented how cute one of her fabrics was, so she sent me this:

i'm not saying the husband didn't get pretty lucky with his in-laws, but i definitely did.

marrying him brought so much more love into my life.

So as long as you don't talk politics, you are cool in their eyes too. That works.

I'm really glad to hear this!

I think the internet has a way of getting people too caught up in ideas and causes that sometimes we forget what should really matter most, that being those we love.
