Modern technology is some kinda' tough!

Last winter my 5 year old granddaughter lost her Samsung tablet in the back yard for about three weeks during which time it snowed, thawed, snowed again and thawed again. I found it lying in the shrubbery and assumed it was history but plugged it into the charger and it came to life with no issues.

I also have an old 10" Toshiba tablet that I use for a cookbook. I use my glass cooktop as extra counter space when the heating elements are cold. So I'm doing the mesen plas and reach over to preheat the pan. I guess you can figure out the rest! Anyway I smell burning plastic, see what I've done and grab the tablet off the hot cooktop burning myself in the process. I immediately run cold water over the tablet, reboot and it works like a charm although the case will never be the same.
