Thank you for your kindness and an update.
First and most important: Thank you to everyone who sent good wishes and thoughts my way. You are greatly apprciated..
You have no idea. I am at home and three days ago, I started driving again, so I can get around.
One of the posts from the March 9 thread stated that it can take a year to get one's strength back from this kind of surgery. Another
friend said at least 6 months. You have helped me to accept the fact that the weakness doesn't go away immediately.. My brother had it and after ten days, he was walking a mile.. He is not me..and I was/am not as good shape as he was when he had his. The idea of getting around is actually exciting. So last week I went to buy food at two different foodstores. So I used the shopping cart as support and went and bought food and brought it home. I am so grateful that I can do those little things, even though I am very slow at it.
I am slowly getting stronger, although some days it does not feel like it. I am greatful for friends and family who supported me thru this
And thank you again to the lounge...You Are the Best..
