Note I said "your opinion".
I'm no horror movie buff, but, um, were the Chuckie movies really scary ? If so, I'll keep on thinking.

(33,688 posts)Grade-Z cheapie about a haunted tree monster, that walked around killing people. That's right a walking tree.
You'd think somebody could have found an ax or a chainsaw.

A HERETIC I AM
(24,369 posts)Dumbest premise, stupidest monster, most ridiculous ending. I actually spent money to see it at the theater. A complete and utter waste of time.

(11,770 posts)The movies would be done shortly before midnight curfew, so we had just enough time to dash home.

(14,944 posts)Especially for bad movies. Kind of a shame to see a good movie at the drive in.

(11,770 posts)Although, I did see Jaws at the drive-in, and I must admit, I love that movie. I get sucked in every time they show it on tv and that's several times a year.

(14,944 posts)The drunk scene when Robert Shaw talks about the Indianapolis! I love Jaws, if I see it's on, I'm watching.

(3,366 posts)Totally boring movie, lots of very quiet talking so you turn up the volume to hear them. Occasionally there is a FLASH of a ghost accompanied by an extremely LOUD sound which makes you jump. That's the total of the horror.
Wounded Bear
(58,662 posts)was the lower billing on a double feature and of course, it showed first. The only time I ever heard cheering in the theater when the film broke. Unfortunately, the cameraman fixed it and we had to watch it through to the end to see the featured movie, which I don't remember at all.

(50,559 posts)It is not so much a movie as it is an effort to win a bar bet with Stirling Silliphant - Harold Warren, the man who made Manos, bet Silliphant that he could make an entire horror film on his own. The best part of Manos is Harold Warren's admission it's the worst movie ever made.
Absolute worst horror movie of all time: Maximum Overdrive.

(100,079 posts)As Brian Griffin on Family Guy put it:
"A bunch of people alone in the woods. Nothing's happening. Nothing's happening. Nothing's happening. I don't know - something about a map. Nothing's happening. Nothing's happening. It's over. A lot of people in the audience look pissed."

It's so bad that it doesn't even have a Wikipedia entry.

(389 posts)I'm dating myself with this one (1964!). Potentially the greatest waste of film in history, it starred Ray Dennis Steckler, billed as 'Cash Flagg', and boasted a budget of $38,000, the highest of any Steckler production. I paid to see this POS in the theater, and even at fifteen I knew it was total dreck.

(4,056 posts)Plus most of the "legit" horror movies are a yawnfest for me. I cut my terror teeth on Edgar Allen Poe's "The Black Cat" when I was a teenager and NO movie ever made could evoke fear in me like that story could. Maybe because movies weren't around in Victorian times, authors induced such fright with their words and your imagination that nothing cinematic could live up to.
"The Pit and the Pendulum" was shit-scary as well. I still loathe and despise rats to this day because of it!

(12,041 posts)I have not actually seen the full movie so I don't know whether or not it as bad as Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter but the trailer may well be the worst movie trailer I have ever seen, it is however worth watching for the unintentional humor.
