I did. I ate 3 little Tootsie Rolls which the devil made me eat.
What did YOU eat and take away from those poor little kids?

(12,661 posts)The adults get the multi- flavored tootsie rolls and dum-dum suckers, and if they're not too obnoxious (or being good escorts to the little ones) their choice of Hello Kitty gummies, peanut butter M&Ms, Butterfingers, Skittles, or Baby Ruth's.
Kids under 12 get a handful from the Cauldron of Candy (after a quick stir to mix up the goodies).
I get the "half-size" candies, basically the recommend single serving size - none of that bite-size garbage.
Out of the fourteen bags\cartons I got for tonight, I'm down to 1/4 left. With another half-hour of "official" trick or treating left.
I think I've seen around 12 Elsas, 20 or so zombies or serial killers (who can tell the difference?) , and any number of toddlers and babies dressed as stuffed animals. Current number is around 60 trick or treater's, and the weather is great.

(20,176 posts)I had no kids. I never have kids...but the year I don't buy candy, I'll get swamped.
Soooo...I bought Snickers and ate the Snickers while watching TV. When I ran out of candy, I shut off the porch light. It was 8:30pm--late enough.

(72,300 posts)The good stuff is the last thing we give out. This year we had half of the candy leftover. About 8:30 a local police car drove through our community of senior citizens. Maybe they decided to enforce a new curfew. Last year the Trick or Treat fun went on till after 9:30.

(63,912 posts)I like that. It means our neighborhood is experiencing some new growth.
Not that I don't like teens but some of them are BIG...at some point don't the kids have parties in their homes and at school? My grandkids do...two are teens and wouldn't be caught dead trick or treating...not cool...
