What's your best trick or treat story from last night? Here's mine!

You'll never guess who came trick or treating last night at the beach! I was watching the World Series game in the bedroom--packing to come home--when I heard Snowy woofing in the living room. Woof. Silence. Woof. Silence. So, I went to take a look. There she was at the sliding glass door to the deck having a stand-off with an opossum just on the other side of the door! When I moved to grab the camera, Snowy started barking in earnest and Mr. Opossum decided not to wait around for his treats, but trundled off into the darkness.

I am so glad I had earlier closed the sliding glass door. The screen on the screen door has been torn from the edge--high enough and along the bottom edge far enough--effectively creating a doggie door. Snowy has loved being able to walk through the screen door when I have left the sliding glass door open. Can you imagine if the sliding glass door had been open and Mr. Opossum had decided to come in to see what he could find for treats?!?

I'm not sure what his costume was supposed to be. He was dressed up in a little suit like a butler would wear and he had on make-up like he was supposed to be a ghost. He was so cute I gave him an extra piece of candy.

She had on every princess-y thing you can imagine, sparkly shoes, sparkly crown, sparkly dress, lots of "jewelry". I'm pretty sure she put her costume together herself. When we opened the door, instead of saying trick-or-treat, she very loudly proclaimed, "I'm Cinderella!" Imagination, effort, and enthusiasm deserves extra candy.

She had on a blond wig and a dress like Dorothy Gale (of the Wizard of OZ). She steps up and opens her bag and it gave out a huge ROAR!

We decided that was the best one, even there were so many cute and funny ones. Looks can be deceiving!!!!
