Mother Nature's light show

We had an amazing aurora display last night and early this morning as a result of a huge solar storm a couple days ago. The skies lit up all over the state, even here in Anchorage with all the light pollution. We drove out to Pt. Woronzof by the airport, looking out across Cook Inlet, and enjoyed the show. If you're familiar with Anchorage at all, you can barely see Mt. Susitna, a pretty prominent landmark here, rendered tiny by my wide-angle lens. It's in the left lower corner, just to the right of the bright color. That's just how big the auroras are.
