There's a sports related message board that I enjoy a lot, except it inevitably slows downs and/or is constantly freezing. I believe it's because of the ad platform the website uses.
Do any of you know how well Adblock works as it pertains to these problems? Are there any downsides to Adblock? Does it affect the ability to do some things that I like, such as play videos?

(8,329 posts)Have used it for many years on both IE and Firefox. As previously stated, if you don't like it, delete it. Easy peasy.

(60,010 posts)so I changed to Ad Guard, which lets me determine the area of the page I want blocked and gives me a preview of what the blocked page looks like.
More control over content, I like that.
I also use Ghostery, so rarely have a problem.
