(50,562 posts)According to canon, the Planet Krypton's environment - higher gravity than Earth and a different sun - renders its inhabitants with the same level of superpower we Earthlings have on this planet. Only when they go to a planet with lower gravity and a yellow sun do they become endowed with superpowers. Since Kryptonians have earthling-like levels of strength, skin penetrability and so on, AND because many cultures pierce their baby girls' ears soon after birth, her ears were almost certainly pierced on Krypton.
Either that, or they used a drill press and a masonry bit.

(20,176 posts)she has super strength and functional invulnerability. Perhaps she did it herself in the bathroom at age 14 with a sewing needle like my friend Rachel did. Presumably, she has enough strength to push a sharp object through her own flesh. Right?
It's a real "Can God make a rock so heavy he can't move it" conundrum, isn't it?

(20,176 posts)even if the Supers are bulletproof, aren't they still strong enough that they could push a bullet (assume whatever material composition you want, including one made of their hair) through their own flesh?

(16,646 posts)Actually, the question is whether there is a needle strong enough to be pushed through her ear.
