Slither (2006) and Timeline. One has top actors from America, and the other has top actors from England and the USA. And what I wonder is, were these actors big when these movies were made? Or were these break out performances?
Updated with the names of the actors:
Elizabeth Banks
Nathan Fillion
Michael Rooker

(12,723 posts)it is just a really bad movie.
Michael Crichton novel. Richard Donner, the director of Superman and the Lethal Weapon films. According to imdb the budget was $80,000,000 in 2003.
That is not a B movie. Of course they don't really make B movies any more. That concept went out years ago.
Slither on the other hand was certainly a low budget movie with the hopes of a big return which is always a valid concept in horror. Although the cast you mention are good none of them were exactly major stars at the time.

It was just a kick to see were the Slither cast was nine years ago, and where they are today.
Timeline. Wow. Didn't know it was a messed up script.
Though the term may be a stretch, I think the term "B" movie can still be used to assess how it turned out.

(12,723 posts)It referred to movies of a limited budget with usually a less famous cast. But oddly enough these B movies were what made all the the money. Studios would make a certain amount of prestigious films and a lot of B movies to break even. Then the blockbuster era began in the 70s and most movies were attempts to become huge earners and a lot less room for small pictures. Nowadays we have both small and large again.
