**note: I could have added hot Sake, since that's traditional around my parents house, but I personally prefer Eggnog! Which on the list would you like, or.. pick something more traditional!

(41,859 posts)alcoholic drinks, which is why I added a few non-alcoholic beverages. I am curious what people like to kick back with around the stressful holidays, and what makes them feel nice on a cold winter night!
Some times interesting combinations come up and its fun to see what's in the holiday punchbowl this time of year. No offense taken, btw. Cheers! Kampai!

(26,117 posts)Seasonal winter ales, typically.
Just tried this the other day - it actually tastes like Christmas.

(50,562 posts)It's a little like a hot eggnog with rum (you can also use bourbon), but not quite like an eggnog.

(54,256 posts)3 dashes bitters
3 oz Scotch whisky
1 tsp water
1 sugar cube
1 slice orange
1 maraschino cherry
In an old-fashioned glass, muddle the bitters and water into the sugar cube, using the back of a teaspoon. Almost fill the glass with ice cubes and add the scotch. Garnish with the orange slice and the cherry. Serve with a swizzle stick.

(29,414 posts)Anything for Christmas, so long as it's a mixed drink. Lately, I've learned that I like gin (never had it until a few months ago) so I've been making gin & tonics from a recipe by Jamie Oliver
I may have to search on his DrinksTube and see what festive drinks I can make
