Hello DU.
I just wanted to introduce myself real quick.
I am 42 years old, my birth name was Steve, but I go by Stephanie now, I am in the midst of a changing gender. Ever since I was a little boy, I knew I was really a girl, but I had to fight it for a long time. I even joined the Army as a youth trying to make myself a man. A couple years ago I found myself divorced and finally decided it was time for Steve to go bye bye and for Stephanie to be born. So for the past 2 years I have been living as a woman full time, and dating a wonderful man named Mike. The ironic part is I can't marry him unless they chop my man parts off, crazy aint it? Anyway, sorry I rant a lot, I am a life long Democrat because I have always been for equal rights. I love adult cartoons, hence my name Stan Smith from American Dad I love how they portray how stupid right wingers are on that show lol.
I look forward to meeting the people here and discussing how to make our country better, I'm 100% hope and change baby!

I think you will like it here in the Lounge. And yes, it is ridiculous that people can only marry if their junk is configured in certain ways. But we are making progress!
