The DU Lounge

You know...when the DU Lounge was considered "crazyland" and the best fights were held here?

(10,418 posts)What made it worse than the fighting in the issues forums was that it was so personal. I hated it.

(1,451 posts)I was being a little tongue-in-cheek and should have noted that. My real point was that the personal insults were more contained and easier to ignore. Now they're everywhere and It saddens me

(10,558 posts)It's true that I don't hang out here in the lounge so much but I recall the perspective of Loungeniers from DU #1 to be that GD was the shooting gallery and one needed good drugs, alcohol or a mental disability to venture forth from here to there. Perhaps I missed any Lounge bruha you are referring to but that's how I remember things. FWIW I recall this place as fun, filled with folks with a quick wit and an over-abundance of cat-lovers. Except for the changing of the guard, the Lounge doesn't appear to have changed at all to my perspective .....but then I am a dog owner so what would I know.
...and now for something completely different, here is a little number from a video game I am playing which has nothing to do with how I see GD-P....well maybe a little bit....ok maybe a lot.
