my work party is tonight

just bowling, but the boss will buy our drinks and it should be a fun, if entertaining, time.

the beauty is that i'm not the only one who's going to show up already mildly inebriated.

husband is dd tonight and we're carpooling with a few of my coworkers. i made sure everyone had a safe way to get home.

Ritzy upscale club/bar/free food and drinks...the thought of being bored out of my mind and having to make small talk..

and then they began charging for tickets. the only reason i went the last three years was because my editor bought the tickets. me and the other younger staffers always bolted when older white folks started dancing to brick house.
