Kanye Kardashian gets spanked when attempting to cut the line at Austin BBQ joint
How long would you wait for some delicious Texas barbecue? One Austin restaurant has hundreds waiting on line for hours just to get a taste of its famous smoked beef brisket and other offerings, according to New York Times. Diners come from different states and countries, and even a celebrity or two comes to visit, but as Kanye West learned, even celebrities have to wait on line.
Benjamin Jacob, Franklins general manager, said, Kanye West wanted to cut the line and we didnt let him. Everybodys equal. There has been one exception to this rule. On a trip to Austin in 2014, President Obama apologetically cut to the front of the line. The President was so apologetic that he bought lunch for the family that was next in line.
Franklin Barbecues hours are 11 a.m. to sold out. Customers pay by the pound: $20/pound for brisket and $17/pound for ribs. Owner Aaron Franklin started his business in 2009, when he sold barbecue from a trailer, and has sold out of meat every day since.
