When I first heard this, I had no idea what it was. It made me think about landing on another planet and seeing an alien landscape.

"De-Ominization" since, as I recall from watching the movie countless times, the humans are called "Oms"

The synthesizer music is spacey all right, but the opening theme is missing from this recording.

Interestingly, the theme is in 5/4 time (and was composed long before Dave Brubeck's "Take Five&quot . The unusual time signature contributes to the otherworldly feel of "Neptune".
