Sigh - the time has finally come...my husband has become an old man

Now many of you will laugh - he is only 44 - but in pop culture years, he is ancient. I love pop culture - I love how words/phrases change meaning, love just the pure fluff of it.

Urban dictionary is my friend. I am not one of those adults desperately trying to hang onto my youth and be "cool", but if I am going to be singing along to a Nicki Minaj song, I'd like to know what truffle butter is.

During the past week, while watching our favorite shows (TDS, Larry Wilmore, @ Midnight - on demand of course, past his bedtime) I think I had to explain at least 20 different references. When I found myself saying "Netflix and chill" is "what the kids say" for inviting someone over sex, I realized that I too had become...gasp"old".

I actually said "what the kids say".

Age is a state of mind - my husband was old when I met him and probably came out of the womb shaking his fist , my grandma was kid at heart until the day she died.

We make a good balance

NYC's first skyscraper, the Flat Iron Building, was completed in 1902.

. Unpredictable gusts around the building's unique shape could knock people over and lift the skirts of ladies passing by.
Men would gather on 23rd Street in hopes of catching a glimpse of an ankle.
Supposedly, policemen shooing gawkers away was the origin of the popular phrase "23 Skiddoo."

Upon completion in June 1902, the 20-story Flatiron Building was the tallest building in New York. It was originally intended to be called the Fuller Building, but the Flatiron name stuck and was eventually adopted officially.
The neighborhood around it is called the Flatiron District to this day.

Here is link to the story and amazing pics:

TDS, Larry and @midnight is my bedtime ritual. Only I go hardcore and watch them as they air. lol

If I have my laptop out I'll play hashtag wars but it's too much a pita to twitter on my phone. I like them big letter keys on the computer thingy. Phones are for crushing candy and clashing clans.

Urban dictionary?

Warning. This is the fourth definition.

Something so disturbing, you don't even want to know what it means.

Jake: Dude, what's 'Truffle Butter' mean??
Eli: Bro, don't even ask.
