The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI think I just invented a new drink.
At least, I can't find any reference to it online, and my bar manager has never heard of it. I'll look in my library later, but I'm skimpy on cocktail books.

(38,009 posts)...if it's just whiskey and cider then that constitutes either a mixed drinkor a highball. For it to be a cocktail it must contain at least 3 ingredients - two of them being alcohol products.
ADD: Mind you, it's very possible you might be the first one to mix those two particular brands together and, if so, then you get to name the drink. But If it were me, I would honor the brands in the name. Something like "Bere Jacket" would be good.

Jack Daniels actually sells it premade as a "Winter Jack"
If you heat it and add a cinnamon stick, it's a "Fire Cider"
