The Kala Godha Arts festival: everybody should come see it. Seriously: when she wants to play a different song she tunes it by adjusting the pipes. This shit is amazing.

They look like shoe liners.
When I was a kid, my oldest sister set up a glass harp and made some other instruments from found objects, including one made of pipes. I never got to see her play the pipe one - she took that to some musical camp thing. She was a musical genius though once she got into medical school she gave up playing instruments.
Her glass harp was not as elaborate as this one and didn't have the range because she didn't have the variety of glasses to work with:

My understanding is that part of "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies " was written for the armonica. IIRC the armonica was banned in many places because of the eerie sound it produced:
