Looks like they still make them.

(2,302 posts)These were cracker/cookies made by Nabisco that I remember my mother giving to my little sister. I later found out the name means "twice-baked." They were hard and chewy.

(11,362 posts)I wonder why arrowroot was deemed somehow better for babies than other kinds of flour.

(12,723 posts)In everyday baking, arrowroot doesnt make a good substitute for wheat or even gluten-free flours, but it can be used to make teething biscuits for tender mouths. Baking arrowroot biscuits become very hard you know just how hard if youve heard a teething biscuit banged on a highchair tray. Thats good news for baby, since no dangerous chunks will break off in their mouth.
Also supposed to be allergen free.

(21,596 posts)The pale orange color, the peanut shape and the styrofoam-like texture all combine to make a singularly yucky confection.
However, teething biscuits are tasty! I remember when my son happily chewed on them while sitting in his high chair. Sweet memories!

(36,312 posts)They last awhile and she can be kept occupied eating one while she's in her high chair so I can get some household chores done.
