So we got (re)married this afternoon.

It was a mass renewal of wedding vows at Lulu's.
There were around two hundred couples.
Lulu's is a restaurant and marina on the intracoastal waterway in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

She is Lucy Buffett, Jimmy's little sister. Quite a character. Helluva cook.
It's about 20 minutes from home.



We'll celebrate 47 years of married bliss in April.
I found out about the mass renewal a week ago and signed up online.
I just told Miz t. that I had a surprise for her on Saturday and that we'd be eating lunch 'out'.

Boy, was she surprised!!!
And boy, did I rack up some serious points!!!


P.S. Lulu's was PACKED. We managed two seats at the large rectangular bar.
Two fried green tomato BLT sandwiches and one order of onion rings (plus a Bloody Mary and a draft Lulu's Honey Ale) ran us $50 including tip.
It's a very touristy place and not cheap, but what the hell, the ceremony, plastic flutes of champagne, and slice of 'wedding cake' were free.
And as far as Miz t. is concerned, I've just hung the moon and racked up points for a long time to come.
