I'm old, tired of crap. Let's start with medical staff.

* No, you do NOT tell me when to come 4 months from now. I'll mark it in my calendar and call for a convenient time.

* No, you don't make me wait two weeks for lab results that take 1-2 days that can be phoned to me for a personal appointment so that you can charge my insurance. I'm going through ANXIETY waiting for my results, so WHY!!!!!!!!!!

* No, you canNOT cancel me after I've done all the work of gathering records from everywhere.

******I can't even *BEGIN* so why *AM* I?!1

7. I'll get to you and your normal lab results as soon as I've dealt with the

patient whose chest x-ray came back with some worrying blebs on the film, the patient whose kidney function test reveals end-stage renal disease, and the patient whose calcium levels could indicate multiple myeloma.

And, of course, there's always the patient who complains because she had to wait forty-five minutes while I was with other patients, and then, after I had fixed the problem she walked in with, hits me with "Oh, one more thing..." - apparently blissfully unaware that the reason it took forty-five minutes for me to get to her is because every patient ahead of her had "one more thing" in addition to the complaint they had scheduled an appointment for.

We don't sit around thinking of ways to inconvenience you; they happen on their own.

since you don't know my situation or the presumed normalcy of my lab results. You acknowledge that others, whom you *do* know, are anxious about their results. Allow me to assure you that I am, too. Thanks for your concern.

You might be better off to schedule that 4 month appointment rather than take your chances as it gets closer. You can always re-schedule if it's not convenient.

I hate when they don't let you know lab results, too. The waiting is agony. I always hope that "no news is good news"!

Hope everything will be OK, UTUSN.
