You know it's not really classic rock that I hate (Great covers of classic rock in here!)

it is the ubiquitousness of it that bugs the shit out of me. And the fact it negates music (To think that Bob Marley is the ONLY reggae artist is sickening)...and reduces artists to one or two songs, Unless it is Steve ("that non playing mutha fucka"*) Miller, whom they seem to play a lot on the radio, and none from when he was actually cool.

*Miles Davis*

I really like the songs (well some of them any way) and love it when a good band rips them up live like this one, putting their own stamp on it

In a couple of weeks, I am gonna be at a Eagles show played by the great bluegrassy band Poor Man's Whiskey, who have done "Darkside of the Moonshine" , Old and in the Way" and many other classic albums and artists and kill it every time.

SCI does a themed show on Hulaween, playing various covers to fit the theme. One year they did a "Whistlestop tour" of the NYC subway system with JP Barlow (One of the Grateful Dead's lyricists) narrating the show with the band visiting (musically) every notable stop in the system. Sadly that show is not findable right now, but this is a pretty cool recent set of disco tunes which kill......

I love JB's voice in this song. You wouldn't think he could pull off Winwood but he nails it. Great band. hard to think that these guys have beeen aorund 30 years and selling a lot of tickets, yet nobody really knows about them.
