I love the way the buds look. They look like strings of purple pearls on tree branches.

If you're, say, in Maine and the redbuds are blooming in mid-February, I would be astonished.
I'm in Maryland, and our redbuds generaly bloom in late April or early May.

I never had luck with redbuds although they grow wild here in PA. It will be a month or so before we see a pussy willow bud. We won't see flowering trees until late April if we are lucky.

The song birds have returned and the trees are sprouting leaves at my place. Hot weather & Spring training are on the way.
