You're in middle school or high school. Maybe you sold the ticket taker on your being 17. Maybe you went to the twin, thre-plex, or multi-plex and "oops" - walked into the wrong theater. Maybe an older friend posed as an older brother or sister.
What did you see? Did you get caught?

(91 posts)The theatre was a block away and I went several times a week. I remember seeing Summer of '42. My mom found out and said she didn't think I should see movies like that. My grandpap said, "It's good they show kids today how things were back then." LOL

(10,000 posts)Summer of '42 was mentioned upthread; why was it rated "R"? Do you remember?

Luckily, I fell asleep about 1/4 of the way into the movie and stayed that way until the end.

They enjoyed it more than I did. I found the violence repugnant even though I understood how it fit the plot. It's not a movie I have ever been able to watch again.

(1,110 posts)they didn't have R-rated movies. They did have some adults-only-unless-you-are-with-your-parents movies, and I saw a few with my mother.
And now, as and old lady curmudgeon, I ask you to not use "snuck." "Sneaked" is proper, and does not give the impression of mucus combined with other bodily fluids.
(Aren't you alerted while posting when "snuck" is underlined in red? At least it is on my computer..)
