She might have been good enough to go through on her own, but Jonathan was just SOOOO much better than her that it made her actually look bad. Opera just isn't her thing. Give her a pop song, on her own, and she might make it through.
Jonathan was incredible though. I can't comprehend how that meek, soft voice turned into that powerful, operatic voice. He's got a strong future in opera.
I also want to add: Jonathan then sticking up for Charlotte and keeping her with him was awesome. He's a fine gentleman.
