I really want some fried chicken. So I called up this local Chinese place and they said they will be over in a Jiffy! ....okaaaaayy, well 45 minutes, but if that's what a "jiffy" is these days, I will take it.

(38,019 posts)I can't resist. It's nice and dry and that's how I like it. It's my mom's fault. She once worked in a chicken processing plant and referred to chickens as "filthy, filthy animals" - so she fried the hell out of the bird. To this day, juicy fried chicken turns my stomach.

(41,867 posts)Its so rich and adds a lovely sweetness to the chicken, and you get the choice to add it or not. Its so good. But... damn it! I forgot to order the free fortune cookies... next time, for sure.

(41,867 posts)they don't do potatoes or biscuits.. you can have a side of rice, but hey, the plum sauce on the chicken is totally awesome. They also throw in some shredded cabbage which frankly isn't as bad as it sounds, and has a nice flavor.
