The Walking Dead 6.12 "Not Tomorrow Yet" (spoiler alert)

On the road today, so posting this early.

Rick and the group realize the only way to maintain the peace of Alexandria is to fight a new enemy. This time, though, the group might be outmatched.

I think Abe's just got a crush on Sasha and decided to make a move on her, rather than stick with Rosita. Personally, I think Abe should have counted his blessings...

For Shits and giggles.

ENT. Some time in the Future. An Elementary School Classroom.

A woman, in her 30s, walks around the classroom, looking at the children's pictures hanging on the wall. The pictures are of families. Everyone is happy and smiling. The woman smiles to herself.

There is a knock on the door. A man walks in.

Ted: "Ma'am? The President is ready."

Woman: "Thank you."

Ted leads the woman down the hall. At the end is the President, surrounded by her staff. The President looks up. She is a distinguished woman with stunning gray hair. It is Maggie Rhee. She smiles brightly.

Maggie: "Judith!"

Judith: "Madam President. It is so nice of you to invite me here."

Maggie: "Please, call me Maggie. I saw you grow up. As far as I care, you're family."

Judith: "You're too kind."

They embrace.

Maggie: "It's been far too long. How are you? How's life in Memphis?

Judith: "I'm wonderful. Charles and Glenn are doing great."

Maggie has tears in her eyes: "You named your son Glenn?"

Judith: "Your husband saved my life. I only wish I could do more. He was a great man."

Maggie hugs Judith. They have a long embrace.

Maggie: "It is so very nice to see you again."

A staffer comes over.

Staffer: "Ma'am, we're ready."

Maggie: "Yes. Thank you." She composes herself. (To Judith) "You ready?"

Judith: "Yes, let's go."

They walk outside. It is revealed that the school is named The Rick Grimes Elementary School. There is a statue of Rick outside the school.

Judith speaks at the podium: "We were the walking dead. Destitute and on the verge of extinction. But a few people decided to fight. My father, was a great man. Glenn Rhee, Daryl Dixon, my brother Carl, my mother Michonne. We were on the verge of death. It is with great sacrifice that we are here today, finally free from the scourge of the walker plague that had us on the brink of extinction. We WERE the walking dead. But THEY fought back so that WE might live."

The camera pans out to reveal a bustling, mid-size town as the screen fades to black.

Just seems strange, considering the comic.

Alicia Witt, the red-headed ring-leader, I have never liked in any role she's ever starred in. So maybe she dies after a couple of episodes.

Perhaps she's Negan's favorite at the moment and that's why? Maybe that's how they'll explain it.
