I got a little excited about the title, thinking there would be a sound track of Hendrix and Joplin together. Didn't check it out adequately. Sorry.

From the play "Porgy and Bess"? Larry Adler did the harmonica version on the original soundtrack. In any event, Janis always makes me cry. And no, I'm not at all embarrased by it. What a tragic life.

...that Janis had an appreciation of art and music far deeper than most of her fans of the time could appreciate. Would someone else please be decent enough to say some kind words in memory of this remarkable woman???

Ball and Chain to me in Philadelphia at the Convention Center in 1968.

I luvved her for a long time. It was a shame she passed the way she did but it seems extreme talent

does things to ones mind.
