Donna Dixon, Wendie Jo Sperber, Holland Taylor.

You could see Hanks' talent shining through way back then.

It was on from 1980-82. I was really upset when it was cancelled, but obviously many of these actors/actresses went on to better things.

In that case there was a good reason for the cancellation--it was so Sorkin could do The West Wing.

I found it a little rough around the edges, but I also saw potential. I think one of the problems some people might have had with it was that it came right on the heels of The West Wing, and people couldn't switch their gears that quickly.

Networks need to give shows a decent chance. They make decisions based on early season ratings. In some cases, cancellation is justified, but in others, the execs should try to stick it out and let the shows show their promise.

To this day whenever I see Sarah Paulson, I think of her "Studio 60" character.

about 8 years ago. Donnie Wahlberg was in it. Fox dropped it after 3 shows here in the States. However a whole year of the show was filmed and shown in England. I finally found it on DVD & watched the season. The show was being ended, so the writers and producers ended it with an appropriate ending.

The premise was that Wahlberg's character and attorney had killed his mistress in Baltimore. He goes on the lam with his wife & 3 kids ending up in Iowa and trying to figure out who really did kill the woman.

It just doesn't work that way. The ensemble is what makes the show so great in the first place. Of they could do another season with the same cast and the same writers in the same room together, that would be amazing. But easier said than done sadly.

(Michael) and turn him into an asshole.

Michael's struggle to deal with his crazy family without losing his honor and his mind was the source of much of the comedy in the orginal. His occasional slips ("Chareth Cutestory&quot and efforts to make amends added to the hilarity. Making him a full-time jerk in the revival was one of the biggest disappointments for me.
