I have to agree with my sister.

Of all the alcohols I know (only a handful, really) and use for mixed drinks, gin makes me the loopiest!
(I made a double gin & tonic over an hour ago.)

The thing is, I never had gin until last year. Talking to the guy at Spec's, he recommended a brand out of Fort Worth (1835: The Lone Star Gin) versus the standard English varieties. It's quite good

What makes you think I'm not?

I'm still careful with posting, previewing and all that. It just takes l o n g e r !

The majority of the 'food' I've had today was some fresh-made veggie-fruit juice this morning, and a small bowl of leftovers and more veggie-fruit juice this evening. (I have a new juicer and am trying many recipes.)

And thus... loopiness!

Besides, I'm done with making juice for the day. I wouldn't trust my coordination with a sharp knife now

Plus, I wanted a good gin & tonic. I bought some decent tonic water last week (it's in small bottles) and it was just the right size for a double. That's all I needed. Because I'll likely be loopy for another hour or so...

I know that's a problem for some folks. Maybe you have a mild allergy and it translates to a worse time drinking it.

it involved me wandering around a foreign city, blind drunk and missing a contact, and an offer of unwanted sex.

the lead up to this is way cooler than the end.

thousands of miles from home. scary at the time, slightly amusing all these years later as his pickup line was "my roommates are gone, come have sex with me."

he backed off when i cocked my fist and raised my voice.
