He wondered how a child raised on disinformation would turn out? ie...teaching them that green was purple and other types of twisted information...need I say a short term 'friend'?

When my oldest daghter had an appointment for her first eye exam, I told her at one point she'd have to rest her chin on the chin attachment while the doctor shone a bright light on her eye. "That's when you get the needle."

Her mother took her the day of the exam. When the optometrist told her where to rest her chin, my daughter asked, "Is this when you put the needle in my eye?" The optometrist stormed out of the room and started yelling at my wife.

I'm glad I was at work.

Though I do have a niece who believed everything I said no matter how ridiculous. My son wouldn't even believe in Santa until I made him pretend. He was 3. Even now, at 34, my niece will believe for an instant until it catches up to her what I really said.
