They have discovered some really talented singers over the years and it was fun to
see so many of them perform.
But I have to say, I've never been a fan of Carrie Underwood. And that last song she performed. Definitely
not a fan. Leave it in church, please.
I had to turn it off when they announced the results. I was a La'Porsha fan all the way.
Anybody else?

(9,086 posts)You're right they have good singers this year. It's going to be so sad when some of them get sent home.

(5,946 posts)and then they show case judges that cant sing - why?? I taped it and fast forwarded through all the judges songs and caught up at the end and had time to see the Big Bang Theory first
that diguari or what ever was off key, I did go back and watch because she can't sing and she didn't, I just skipped past ass wiggle J-Lo - besides being auto tuned and pre-recorded had way too much of the show time. Harry usually can sing but he was off key tonight, Look if I wanted to see judges perform and take up so much of the show, I would have watched the voice, which I don't because that show is just a judges game show where hte singers are just decoration.
I wish they did a quick scan of all the people singing one voice instead of showing the same few over and over again.

I suspect that La'Porsha will be on that list one day. She has a powerful voice, presence, and story.

(28,394 posts)I especially enjoyed seeing so many singers from past seasons. Some I remembered, some I didn't. I liked the performance of the 5 men rockers, all winners.
J-Lo sucked. I put her on mute. I wonder when Kelly's baby is due.... I bet any minute! Love her!
I was also for La'Porsha. I hope she goes on to a successful career.

trent knocked it out of the park the last two competitions. he is male hearthrob for all of the young fans. they both deserved to win and they will both contribute their tremendous talents to the world stage.
their voices and song interpretations are each uniquely beautiful, honest, and inspiring.
for a final great season for american idol.

(41,990 posts)I must say, it was win-win. I wish Trent had not been signed to a country label though. He'll make bank for damn sure but I loved his "Chandelier" and that Justin Timberlake turn.
I'll miss it. It had long since jumped the shark but in a contentious world seeing people hope and succeed is a pleasant thing.

(11 posts)was good not sure how to rate if this final ever idol was the best ever like they said it would be, enjoyed some of the earlier stuff when cowell was a judge back in the early days of idol, another cowell venture in the usa that comes to a end though, i thought that idol would of gone on for some more time and new series.
okay so in the immortal words from one of my posts about, american idol was not safe and ended in 2016 with the final ever show.
and what did i post in 2015 about the american idol in a post ?, answer below.
"and the show is still on after they axed the x factor usa just 2 years ago now, so far the american idol looks safe."
well i got that one wrong because the american idol had its final ever series earlier this year, and they said that is it, there will be no more series ever, not even any spin off's or specials for the american idol, though if they wanted to they would probably do a spin off show i would guess.
so like x factor usa the american idol also failed and simon cowell failed in a way to have a success or should say running success with a talent show in the usa, because i think idol was created by simon cowell and someone else who had a legal dispute with cowell over rights years later, but created in the uk.
just like cowell and x factor, though idol was popular for a long time to be fair, just the voice usa now i think for major talent shows in america.
