I had to liquid a 401K and I was wondering what is the average wait time for the money?

Long story but I basically use to work at this place that allow me to set up a 401K. They are switching to another company. Now after talking to my husband we felt the sum wasn't worth rolling over to a new account and what we could get would in fact help us pay a bill that has gotten outragous because the company never billed us properly and now we have to come up with the money.

Anyways I called the accountant for the company who just sent it in this past Friday and couldn't give me an answer as to when to expect the check. I want to make sure we get it and it isn't stolen out of our mail box as checks have disappeared twice from our street.

So if anyone can help with with a round about ball figure so I can be on the look out for this thing it would help

withdrawal penalty. I would suggest rolling it over to the new company, and if needed take a loan out from the new plan. You would then be repaying yourself for the loan.

Either way, good luck with your situation.
