I can't imagine the show going on without Kate Beckett.

It's been floundering for the past couple of years, but it has remained on my "gotta watch every single episode" list simply because of what it was and how important those characters are to me. No more.

another season anyway, but it's awful that Kate and Lanie won't be in it if it is.

I suppose if it is renewed, they'll get rid of the Lanie character by saying she accepted a job in a city far, far away, and they'll have the Kate character killed so they can create a new love interest for Castle.

that's a swan dive right into its mouth. Katic is half the show.

They should wind up the series this season with a proper hale and farewell rather than try to reinvent it.
